EZRA Foundation

EZRA Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. It is an evolving effort headed by two of his sisters that aims to set aside time, space, and sometimes a little money for endeavors that celebrate nature, animals, and kindness, while putting Ezra’s name on beautiful things we hope he’d be proud of. Kezia Rasmussen, President

Kezia Rasmussen is a devout animal, Earth, and Steve Irwin enthusiast. She studied oceanography before taking an extended detour managing the content team for an education startup. These days, you can find her caring for dogs of all kinds and needs, chasing after foster animals, and finding a new audiobook about animal intelligence. Almost as much as she loves animals and nature, she loves a really good system. ​

Zuriel van Belle, Vice President & Treasurer

Zuriel van Belle is a geographer focused on animals, plants, and places. She is the director of the Portland Urban Coyote Project, a community science, research, and education project. Her interests include digging in the dirt, downshifting, and dogs.

Atalia Lopez, Secretary

Atalia Lopez is an Australian transplant, movie fan, and chronic pickleball player based in sunny Southern California where she lives with her wife, five chickens, two cats, and two weiner dogs. She teaches classes on the intersection of film, literature, and the urban environment at Chapman University. ​

Gwyneth Manser

Gwyneth Manser (she/her) is a geographer, outdoor/nature enthusiast, and photographer. Based in Spokane, Washington, she enjoys cooking, befriending neighborhood cats, hiking, and travel.​
